MAYDAY!

I've really got to get out of the habit of posting once or twice a week. I've been trying to post daily but I hate posting without pictures. It's like my post is too serious or too boring. I don't like things being that way. So, I only have a few pictures from this week. On Friday, Jonathan decorated my Mother's Day cake at school that Publix people brought to him. If we had a regular size fridge/freezer, I would've actually saved it for Mother's Day which is next Sunday, one week from now. BUT Seeing as we don't, me and the kids (and Chris) ate it up this weekend. We just finished it this morning after breakfast. Lol.

I LOVE Publix cake :D It's dense, yet fluffy and the perfect amount of sweeteners and flavorings. And the cool thing was that the middle heart that says "Happy Mothers Day" and there's other hearts and flowers around it, they're all made out of sprinkle ingredients!

Also, me, Gail, Becky, and Elaina all ran to the St. Stephen's food pantry on Friday morning before getting Jonathan and 2 of the things that we got from there was a bag of ciabatta rolls and a 2pk of these huge hamburger patties with cheese and bacon mixed in so that was dinner on Friday night :D

These were the patties fresh out of the pan. I cooked them low and slow so I wouldn't overcook the outside. The inside was amazeballs! While I was eating, I got a picture of the inside of my burger and then I took a picture of Chris' after I assembled it, while the mac n cheese was cooking.

Chris' has better looking lettuce (Lol) but OMG I don't understand how I got that monster in my mouth to even bite into it to finish it off!

I'm trying to remember anything that happened last week but I really can't. On maybe Thursday, Elaina was going to the bathroom in the morning after she woke up and she saw this gigantic spider next to the shower curtain and I told her to grab the broom to knock it to the ground and also to put on her sneakers to step on it when it hits the ground. So she's standing there in the hallway with her nightgown on and sneakers with the broom in her hand. So funny. She watched the spider as it went up to the ceiling above the bathtub and it just sat there. For what felt like the longest time! Finally, I walked outside and Eric was out there and he was gracious enough to come inside and kill it with one of Chris' flip-flops. Well, that night, Chris goes to take a shower and he goes "Are you sure Eric got that one this morning?" I go "Yeah, Elaina grabbed it up in a paper towel and threw it outside". So he asks me where my hairspray is and he starts to make this flamethrower in the bathroom trying to kill this other spider that's the same size as the one from the morning. I REALLY wanted a shower that night but I couldn't bring myself to do it. Not after TWO of them were in the bathroom in the same day. SO, I texted my mom and asked her if I could shower at her house on Saturday. She said of course, of course. Lol. So, me and the kids went to her house on Saturday morning. Chris gave me $!0 to run to the store for milk on Saturday morning, so instead I saved the $10 and ran to my mom's house. We started out with me, Lily, and Jonathan picking up big sticks from around the yard. Then the kids went inside while I mowed. I wore a bandana which helped LOADS because I can't breathe well out of my nose and I kept breathing in dirt last time.

SOOO... anyways, I mowed the grass. Then, I rested for a little bit. Then washed my car and Elaina and Jonathan helped me. So, once I was done, I showered my longest but most fulfilling shower that I've probably had in years! From scrubbing and lathering my hair up the best I possibly could, scrubbing my body the best I ever have, all the way down to getting rid of my gross stained dirty feet. There was still some callouses that just need to be shaved off, of course. And I borrowed my mom's shaving cream for my pits and legs. I feel like a new person! Nobody realizes what good a shower can do for the soul except when you have to go without a decent shower. Our's is alright, but it's just not big enough, I'm always squished and uncomfortable. But also, that stupid step inside of it, I'm always tripping or slipping.

My back muscles and hands hurt so bad last night that I passed out early on, like very shortly after the kids went to bed. Chris said he woke me up when he got inside but I don't remember waking up so as usual, he must've woke me while I was still sleeping. So, of course, Chris had to yell at me this morning for not getting dinner last night. Like, it's not my fault he waits until midnight to finally come inside. And I don't like making dinner until he comes inside after work. It's not like a "I'm being lazy and waiting til the last second thing" or a "I'm going to be stubborn" kinda thing. It's like a conscience thing. I just hate to cook something at 6 and the he doesn't get home til 8 and everything is cold and dried out.

Last but not least, Chris says we don't have to wait til Saturday to get our puppy this weekend. He will be 6 weeks on Thursday, so we may get him home either on Thursday or Friday. YAY! Pictures galore will be everywhere!

Peace and Hair Grease!
