Morning Rendezvous

What a morning!

Have you ever been woken up by something wet and cold touching your leg? Well, this morning, I can say "yes I have". I had a visitor at 5 this morning. It was enough to make me roll off my bed onto the floor. It was a LARGE FROG.
I got pictures but of course pictures never do anything justice.
I readied some paper towels to put over him so I didn't have to feel that cold, wet skin again. But I backed out of that idea. Then I grabbed a pot and slammed over him but Idk how people do stuff like that in the movies because it did NOT work. I lifted the pan off him and away he jumped.
He went behind the little bin on my side table. His little face poking out of the back. I have to admit, he was adorable.

Then he kept trying to climb up the wall and kept sliding down. I like to keep this house cold at night and I think that was hindering his jumping... maybe?
Let's fast forward to the end... I put a tupperware container over him when he was in the middle of the window pane. I waited til he was fully in the tupperware and I slipped the lid between the container and the window and I got him!! I quickly walked him out to the middle of the driveway and dumped him out. Whew!

But I'm not done. As soon as I walk in, Jonathan and Elaina are in the bathroom doing who-knows-what and they say "there's another one!" ...Really? Yeah, there's a small one going down the hallway. I didn't get a picture of it because after spending about 30 minutes trying to get one frog, you don't want to waste time with a second one. I snatched him up and threw him out the front door. This one was 1/3 of the size of the first one. I can't do big frogs. Little ones don't intimidate me, though.

I had just enough time to snuggle back under my warm blanket for 30 minutes before my alarm went off to wake up Lily for school.
What. A. Morning!
